Design Group LLC (BDG) is a fully licensed and bonded
third party administrator providing sales, service, billing and
administrative support for more than 400 brokers and 2000
employer groups in the Mid Atlantic region.
Established in 1989 by Lou Berger and Howard Weitzman, BDG is
committed to assisting brokers and employers find creative
benefit solutions and handle complex and time consuming
insurance and administrative issues.

Memberships & Affiliations
Headquartered in Towson, Maryland, Benefit Design Group, LLC and
its agents are members of the National Association of Insurance
and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), the Maryland Association of
Health Underwriters and the Baltimore Health Underwriters
Association. In addition, Lou Berger is a Chartered Life
Underwriter (CLU). Howard Weitzman is a current member and
Lou Berger is a former member of the Maryland Broker Council of
Carefirst BlueCross BlueShield.
Through a
network of professional independent brokers, BDG provides high
quality billing, collection, enrollment and COBRA services for
employer groups, ranging in size from 1-1000 employees. As
a prominent third party administrator, the company represents
major local and national life/health insurers with a multitude
